30 years old plastic fence posts

A forward-thinking farmer from Northern Ireland invested his money in recycled plastic posts 30 years ago in the hope that the rotten fence posts will no longer need to be maintained or replaced anymore. Recycled plastic agricultural fence posts were not known at that time at all, so this investment could be considered risky.

Today we know very well that this was one of the best purchase he ever made on fence posts since then.

The posts are as good  today as the day of the instllation 30 years ago and we are so pleased that he shared this all with us

Are recycled plastic agricultural fence posts an excellent choice?

The story of a Northern Irish farmer is a perfect example of how long-term thinking and sustainable investments can pay off. But what makes recycled plastic farm fence posts so durable and cost-effective? Let’s explore why they are one of the best choices for agricultural fencing today!

Lifespan with minimal maintenance

One of the biggest advantages of agricultural fence posts made from recycled plastic is their exceptional durability. While traditional wooden posts can rot or be damaged by insects over time, plastic fence posts are resistant to moisture, mould, and harsh weather conditions. The example of the farmer shows that even after 30 years, the posts remain in the same condition as they were on the first day—resulting in significant cost savings in the long run.

Reliable choice for all livestock owners

When it comes to sheep fencing, stability and security are key to keeping livestock safe and contained. Recycled plastic posts are strong, flexible, and less likely to break than wood. Additionally, they have no splinters or sharp edges, reducing the risk of injury to animals. They are ideal for traditional fencing and can also be used as supports for electric fences.

These posts are also perfect for paddocks and horse stalls, as they do not absorb water, crack, or warp, providing a stable and visually appealing long-term solution.

Environmental benefits

Recycled plastic agricultural fence posts are not only durable and cost-effective but also environmentally friendly. Made from recycled materials, they help reduce waste and conserve natural resources, making them a responsible choice for modern farming.

Smart financial investment

While the initial cost of recycled plastic agricultural fence posts may be slightly higher than traditional wooden ones, their long lifespan and minimal maintenance make them a much more cost-effective solution over time. The fact that they remain in excellent condition after 30 years proves that this is an investment that pays off handsomely.
